Three Sleeping Pills Later

Ok, you are probably wondering why thats the title, right? Well, yes, its late, and i decided to take a couple of sleeping pills, 3 to be exact. No big deal though, im not really that tired (obviously im typing). I guess im more inspired to type, at least they havent kicked in yet! j/k Anywho, tonight was fun, went to the bar with my girl and her friend, and had a great time. I drank the least out of the three of us. Lots of good music at the bar and conversation. But.....i had to keep the party going. Call it a curse, or what have you... dropped off my gf, went to the next bar. Shot some pool, unfortunately i didnt win, but had some good drinks, and spent money that i shouldn't. Is it just me, or are memories important? I think they are, and you should too, whom ever decides to read this. Bottom line, did i make the right decisions tonight... i.e. spending money i shouldn't of? Of course not. Did i have memories that will last?? Definately. To sum it up, life is too short. Dont forget......we could all get hit by a car tomorrow!

i Rock Z

Thats right people, thats my new band! We just playing our first show here in Milwaukee about 2 weeks ago. I would have wrote about it sooner, but the problem, well, its what some would call "procrastination." Anyways, our first show went really well, it was at Club Garibaldi, which is located in the lovely Bay View area. We did 6 songs, which turned out to be a really short set. Then again that was all the material we had. I did a drum solo, and got a really good response from the audience. We got alot of good feedback too after the show. Being a musician, other than money, getting good reaction from the crowd is very important. Although we were extremely loud, we didn't seem to scare off too many peeps. Our music is influenced to the early punk-rock sound of the mid-70's, to early 80's. Some of our influences: Radio Birdman, The Misfits, Bad Brains, Stiff Little Fingers, Black Flag, Social Distortion, etc.. Right now we're just a 3-piece, but are pursuing a 2nd guitarist. Also we have t-shirts and a website in the works, so im pretty hyped. If anyone is interested in seeing us, drop me a email, watch out for "i Rock Z!"

Punk Rock at Barely Legal

This past friday i got a chance to check out a underground punk rock show at a house called "Barely Legal." It was a great experience. Beyond the tattoos, grafitti, cigarette smoke, pabst blue ribbon, loud fast ass music... punk kids are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Saw a band called "the hamburgers," they were good, and another band from philly played. They were more hardcore and i can't remember the name. Other than sitting around a unlit campfire, filling with cigarette butts and empty beer cans by the hour, it was fun drinking till 5 am. Today wasn't too productive for me, but what are you gonna do i suppose. The memories and people i met that night were damn worth it. Thanks Corey!!

Metal Sludge

Recently on Vh1 i watched "100 most metal moments," which was great. I can't say im a metal head, but back in the day i had my guilty pleasures of metal music. Anywho, on the countdown, they featured this great website. www.metal-sludge.com Any fans of metal or hair bands, or people that just get a kick out of that whole era, need check this out. There's a juicy 20 questions page that has all your favorite metal stars spilling the beans and talking tall shit about other bands, its great! I was up till 4am this morning checking out the site. They also expose photos and promos of major rock/metal artist before they were famous, way too funny to put into words. Do me a favor, and check this out!!
