Kickstand = Kickass

Since i reign here in Milwaukee, i thought it would be fun to put a post up of my favorite local band, "Kickstand." Why are they my favorite? Well, i recommend you check out their website and listen to some tunes, and you'll see what i mean. www.kickstand.info
They have a hard rock, alternative, blues sound to them. They remind me of the whole early 90's Seattle scene. They're writing is similar to that of Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden, and Alice In Chain. I had a chance to see them rehearse last night, and receive their latest album, "To Whom It May Concern." Being a somewhat accomplished drummer myself, i honestly believe that Kickstand is Milwaukee's best kept secret. Seacrest Out!

Thornley CD

I've been a fan of the music of Ian Thornley, formerly of "Big Wreck," and now cleverly titled "Thornley." Although he has a Chris Cornell look and sound to him, i find his heavy guitars, and pleasing melodies to that of my liking. I guess im a sucker for certain pop-rock bands, but hands down, Thornley has been great to listen to. This almost sounds like a music review i suppose, but what else could i come with at the moment? Not much. Heres a link to their site, check em out if you haven't already. "www.thornleyband.com" Does anbody like them out there??? Let me know.
